Just One Moment
As romance authors, we write a lot of feel-good stories, some call it fluff, others call it a lifeline. Our character journeys have ups and downs, but we always know that they are going to make it through to the happy ending because that’s what we write—what we hope for, and why we read. The ‘happily ever after’ aspect of a romance novel never disappoints.
But what happens when things go wrong in relationships? Where do we go next? What do we do? Life isn’t perfect, in fact, it’s notoriously messy. When relationships have life altering challenges, how do we get back to that happy existence we once had?
I ask this question; what would you do if your life was turned upside down? Would you—could you leave the bad behind and focus on the good to rekindle the romance of a lifetime?
That’s what my newest novel, Just One Moment, explores. Chloe is presented with just such a challenge. She struggles with the love that still burns in her heart for Shay and the reality that has shattered her happiness. In using the past to move forward in the present, Chloe’s journey is one of self-discovery to find a new path to happiness.
