2016 has been a mixed bag of emotions for me. There were a few low points, I lost the last of my puppies. Birdie, my beautiful Papillon at 15 and Coalie my playful Cocker Spaniel at 12. They had long lives, but it was difficult losing them so close together.
This year has had some exceptional high points as well. I started a new job that I love. I signed, not one, but two book contracts with Bold Strokes Books. I reconnected with some very dear friends and have made some very special new ones. I’m blessed to have such a large, loving family. My awesome kids, whom I learn from constantly, as well as my brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. I’m also unbelievably lucky to have someone who loves and supports me unconditionally when I get home every day.
There have been years in my past when I thought life would never be more than bearable. I’m happy to say that, even with the loss of my beloved pets, I was wrong. All these wonderful events have proven 2016 to be a momentous year for me. It’s been filled with new adventure and hope. The future holds much promise. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
I wish you all a happy and prosperous 2017.
